A four-year-old child went missing after losing footing on a slippery riverbank and falling into the water in Banda district, Uttar Pradesh, on Monday. The incident occurred while the child was traveling with family members to seek medical treatment in the area.
Witnesses reported that the child slipped from the bank and disappeared into the river. Family members immediately raised an alarm, alerting bystanders to the emergency. Local residents quickly responded by entering the water to search for the child, initiating rescue efforts at the scene.
Authorities were promptly informed of the incident. Police personnel and teams from the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) arrived at the location to assist with the search operation. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was also mobilized to aid in the rescue effort given the challenging water conditions.
