FPT Egypt represents the technology giant's 100th office globally across 31 countries, reflecting the company's accelerating international footprint. The Cairo office has begun operations with approximately 60 local staff members and is positioned to become a hub for technology services and development across the African region.
The company plans an ambitious expansion trajectory, targeting a workforce of 100 employees by the end of the current year, with projections to reach between 300 and 500 staff within the next three to five years. This expansion reflects FPT's confidence in the Egyptian market and broader African opportunities.
The African expansion comes as FPT strengthens its global technology credentials. The company has recently deepened partnerships aimed at advancing artificial intelligence capabilities and has been recognised as an OpenAI Select Partner, positioning it among leading technology service providers in the region.
Government officials have signalled support for FPT's international expansion strategy, viewing the company's growth as beneficial for Vietnam's technology sector reputation and its ability to establish stronger connections with key technology markets, including the African continent.
