Fresh cheating case against Kochi immigration firm CEO Parvathy Maya Shaji

Police in Kerala have filed a fresh case against Parvathy Maya Shaji, the founder and CEO of Kochi-based immigration consultancy Amster Overseas, along with two associates. The case was registered based on a complaint filed by a youth from Ponnani in Malappuram district, according to law enforcement officials.

The new case follows the completion of interrogation of Shaji by investigating officers. The immigration firm has faced mounting allegations of fraudulent practices from prospective migrants seeking overseas employment opportunities.

Amster Overseas, which operates as an immigration and overseas employment consultant, has become the subject of scrutiny from authorities investigating complaints of financial fraud and misrepresentation. The firm allegedly collected fees from clients without delivering promised immigration or job placement services.

The registration of the fresh case indicates expanding allegations against the firm. Officials have not disclosed details regarding the specific nature of the cheating allegations or the identities of the two other accused individuals named in the complaint.
