MANILA — Fuel price adjustments taking effect Tuesday, November 3, will present a mixed picture at Philippine pumps, with gasoline prices rising significantly while prices for diesel and kerosene decline.
The Department of Energy announced that gasoline prices will increase by as much as P3.50 per liter in the coming adjustment period. In contrast, diesel prices are expected to fall by P1 per liter, while kerosene will drop by P1.90 per liter.
The adjustments reflect the latest movements in global oil markets and their impact on domestic fuel costs. Motorists relying on gasoline-powered vehicles will bear the brunt of the increases, while commercial transport operators and users of diesel-powered vehicles may experience some relief at the pump.
The DOE regularly announces fuel price adjustments based on international crude oil price trends and foreign exchange movements, with changes typically implemented on Tuesdays. Industry observers continue to monitor global energy markets for signals that may affect future Philippine fuel pricing.
