Fuel prices surge with diesel, RON97 and unsubsidised RON95 up 35 sen
Malaysia's unsubsidised fuel prices have increased by 35 sen per litre for the week of September 17-23, marking another rise at the pumps for motorists across the country.

The retail prices of RON97 petrol, unsubsidised RON95 petrol and unsubsidised diesel all climbed by RM0.35 per litre effective from September 17 through September 23, the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living announced on Monday.
The price adjustment reflects movements in global crude oil markets and the ringgit's exchange rate against the US dollar, which typically influence Malaysia's fuel pricing mechanism for unsubsidised products.
This latest increase continues a pattern of upward pressure on fuel costs that has affected motorists and transport operators across the region. The government maintains subsidies on RON95 petrol and diesel for essential services, though prices for unsubsidised variants respond to international market conditions.
