Genrobotics partners with Territorial Army for robotics innovation

Genrobotics has formalized a partnership with the Territorial Army through a memorandum of understanding aimed at accelerating robotics research, development and training initiatives. The agreement was signed at the KYTA & TA 2.0 Symposium in Kolkata, establishing a framework for joint work across multiple operational domains.
Maj Gen S S Patil signed the accord on behalf of the Territorial Army, while Vimal Govind M K, CEO and co-founder of Genrobotics, signed for the company. The partnership encompasses hazardous environment robotics, disaster response operations, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts, confined-space operations, and critical infrastructure inspection.
The memorandum also covers engineer support functions, artificial intelligence-enabled inspection systems, remote sensing applications, and indigenous research and development initiatives. Both organizations will conduct technology demonstrations, organize user trials, and provide specialist training to build operational capabilities in these areas.
The partnership comes as India increasingly focuses on leveraging advanced robotics for military applications and civilian emergency response. The collaboration represents a step toward developing indigenous robotic solutions tailored to the operational requirements of India's armed forces and disaster management agencies.
