Gland Pharma net profit surges 58% in Q2 to ₹290.75 crore

Gland Pharma's consolidated net profit reached ₹290.75 crore in the second quarter of FY27, compared to ₹183.68 crore in the corresponding period last year, marking a substantial 58.29 percent increase, the company said in a regulatory filing on Friday.

Revenue from operations expanded to ₹1,833.58 crore from ₹1,486.87 crore year-on-year, reflecting broad-based growth momentum. Operating expenses rose to ₹1,471.69 crore in the July-September quarter from ₹1,287.12 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The pharmaceutical company attributed its strong performance to consistent execution across its portfolio. During the quarter, Gland Pharma launched four new molecules in the United States market—Sugammadex, Erythromycin, Fluorouracil, and Atropine sulfate—strengthening its presence in key international markets.

The company's contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) business emerged as a key growth driver, expanding 31 percent year-on-year through wider customer engagement and strategic partnerships. Executive Chairman Srinivas Sadu highlighted the quarter's performance, stating the company capitalised on expanding opportunities across its core business verticals.
