Gold gains capped at $4,330 amid US-Iran geopolitical tensions
Gold prices are unlikely to breach $4,330 per ounce without fresh developments in US-Iran negotiations, according to market analysts. Near-term support is being underpinned by shipping route concerns in the Strait of Hormuz.

Gold's upside momentum faces headwinds from lingering uncertainty around diplomatic talks between the United States and Iran, with analysts tempering expectations for significant price appreciation in the near term.
Praveen Singh, an analyst at Mirae Asset Sharekhan, said that while optimism over the security of the Strait of Hormuz shipping route provides temporary support for gold prices, traders should not expect dramatic moves higher without a material shift in the geopolitical landscape.
The $4,330 level represents a crucial ceiling for bullion prices, according to Singh's assessment. Breaching this threshold would require either a significant escalation in tensions or clearer signals from ongoing diplomatic channels, neither of which appears imminent.
Shipping concerns through the critical Hormuz chokepoint, which handles roughly one-fifth of global crude oil trade, have historically bolstered gold's appeal as a safe-haven asset. However, this support alone is insufficient to drive prices meaningfully higher, analysts suggest.
Market participants remain cautious, with the trajectory of US-Iran relations emerging as a key determinant for gold's directional bias in coming weeks. Until concrete developments emerge, the precious metal is likely to consolidate within its current range, observers note.
