According to initial reports, the incident occurred following a domestic dispute at his home. Before the fatal act, Singh reportedly touched the feet of an idol of Lord Krishna kept at his residence. Emergency responders transported Singh to Regency Hospital, but medical staff were unable to revive him. The revolver used in the incident was licensed to Singh.
