Government offices set to resume operations after extended Durga Puja break

Government offices throughout the region will resume normal operations tomorrow after concluding a five-day holiday marking the Durga Puja festival. The extended break, observed to allow citizens and public employees to celebrate the Hindu religious festival, comes to an end with offices expected to function at full capacity.

Administrative departments, banks, and other government institutions have coordinated their reopening schedules to ensure a smooth transition back to regular work schedules. Officials have advised the public that all routine services will be available from tomorrow onwards.

The Durga Puja holiday, one of the major festival breaks observed in the region, typically draws significant participation from communities and sees widespread closures of commercial and administrative establishments. The five-day period allows employees adequate time for festive celebrations and religious observances.

Members of the public who have pending official work are advised to plan accordingly, as office hours and service availability will return to their standard schedules. Department heads have instructed staff to prepare for the resumption of pending administrative matters and services.
