The minister stressed that the primary objective at present is to guarantee that all corrective measures stemming from the RCI report are executed with firmness and thoroughness across all relevant departments and agencies.
The Royal Commission of Inquiry into Tabung Haji, the pilgrimage savings fund administered by the government, had previously issued its findings and recommendations following an investigation into the organisation's operations and financial management.
Zulkifli Hasan's statement reflects the administration's commitment to addressing issues identified in the report and implementing necessary reforms to strengthen governance and oversight of the institution. The government has indicated that various stakeholders, including relevant ministries and Tabung Haji officials, are engaged in coordinating the implementation process.
The follow-up action is expected to cover multiple areas of concern raised during the inquiry, with officials working to establish timelines and mechanisms to monitor progress on each recommendation. The Religious Affairs Ministry will play a central coordinating role in overseeing these implementation efforts moving forward.
