Grammy-winning rapper Lil Durk acquitted in murder-for-hire case

Lil Durk, the platinum-selling artist behind hits including 'All My Life' and 'Viral Moment,' was cleared of all charges following his arrest in late 2023 on federal murder-for-hire allegations. The case centered on his alleged involvement in a shooting that resulted in the death of Quando Rondo's cousin.

Prosecutors had contended that Durk, whose real name is Durk Derrick Banks, orchestrated the attack as part of a broader street conflict. The Chicago native maintained his innocence throughout the legal proceedings, with his defense team challenging the evidence presented by authorities.

The acquittal marks a significant development for the 32-year-old artist, who rose to prominence in the 2010s and achieved mainstream success with collaborations and solo releases.
