Grasim targets ₹2 trillion revenue by FY27 as portfolio expands

Grasim Industries is positioned to achieve consolidated revenue of ₹2 lakh crore in the financial year ending March 2027, Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla announced at the company's 79th annual general meeting on Friday. The milestone would represent nearly double the company's revenue level from five years prior, underpinned by a diversified business portfolio spanning building materials, financial services, digital commerce and renewable energy sectors.

The holding company, which oversees flagship entities including UltraTech Cement, Aditya Birla Capital, Birla Opus, Aditya Birla Renewables and Birla Pivot, recorded its highest-ever consolidated revenue of ₹1.75 lakh crore in FY26. Grasim now operates across 10 distinct business lines and maintains a market capitalisation exceeding ₹2 trillion, according to Birla.

The company's revenue composition is increasingly balanced between established businesses generating strong cash flows and newer growth platforms scaling rapidly, Birla noted. This structural shift provides confidence in the company's ability to sustain expansion momentum through FY27. As Grasim approaches its 80th incorporation anniversary on August 25, the expanded portfolio reflects a strategic shift toward diversification beyond traditional cement operations, positioning the group for sustained long-term growth across multiple high-potential sectors.
