Green SM has signed a lease agreement to operate 1,050 electric vehicle parking bays in the basement of Greater Noida's Golden Grande commercial hub, underscoring growing momentum in India's EV charging infrastructure sector. The five-year lease, valued at ₹15.5 crore, represents a significant expansion of charging facilities in the National Capital Region's commercial real estate landscape.
Beyond parking allocation, the agreement provides Green SM with dedicated space to install and operate five containerised EV charging stations within the complex. This integrated approach combines vehicle storage with rapid-charge capabilities, addressing dual infrastructure gaps in India's emerging EV ecosystem.
Greater Noida's Golden Grande, a mixed-use commercial hub, hosts retail, office, and entertainment tenants. The EV parking expansion reflects rising demand from commercial establishments and their customers for convenient charging solutions amid India's accelerating electric vehicle adoption.
The development aligns with India's National Electric Mobility Mission Plan targets and comes as commercial property developers increasingly prioritize EV-ready infrastructure to attract tenants and customers. Such leases signal growing confidence in the viability of dedicated EV parking and charging as standalone revenue-generating operations within urban commercial properties.
