Groom-to-be found dead days after wedding preparations in Delhi

The family of Yuvraj Singh Manchanda had been in the midst of wedding preparations when tragedy struck. With the ceremony just weeks away, Manchanda's wedding attire—a traditional sherwani—had already been finalized, and relatives were actively engaged in the elaborate arrangements typical of North Indian weddings.

On September 6, Manchanda ventured to Lajpat Nagar in central Delhi for shopping related to the wedding. After completing his errands, he left to attend a meeting but never returned home. The sudden disappearance of the groom-to-be sent alarm through his family, who soon filed a missing person report with local authorities.

Days passed with no word from Manchanda. The search concluded tragically when his body was discovered in a drainage canal in nearby Gurugram. The circumstances surrounding his death have left his family devastated, with his sister's account of the tragedy reportedly moving those who hear it.

Police have registered the case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances of his death. The incident has cast a shadow over what was to have been a significant family celebration, leaving unanswered questions about what occurred between Manchanda's departure from Lajpat Nagar and the discovery of his remains.
