Groww parent posts 54% profit jump on strong revenue growth

The Bengaluru-based company recorded a profit after tax of ₹725 crore in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, compared with ₹471.34 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, according to a regulatory filing on Wednesday. Total income for the July-September quarter reached ₹1,540.54 crore, up from ₹1,071 crore in the same period of the previous financial year.

The growth was underpinned by expanded contributions across Groww's product portfolio. The company saw increased revenue from its margin trading facility and commodity derivatives offerings, which together helped offset weakness in other segments.

Contributions from equity derivatives, however, contracted year-on-year following the implementation of the Closing Auction System by market regulator SEBI. The company indicated that this segment may recover once regulatory recommendations are implemented, suggesting management expects market conditions to normalise in the coming quarters.

The results reflect buoyant demand in India's retail investment ecosystem, with Groww continuing to expand its footprint across multiple asset classes and trading segments. The platform's diversified revenue streams demonstrate its ability to capture growth opportunities across different market conditions.
