GRS deploys three-pronged strategy to expand parliamentary presence

The Sabah-based coalition has outlined its electoral approach ahead of the 16th general election, with party secretary-general Armizan Mohd Ali detailing the three-pronged strategy that forms the cornerstone of the campaign.

The first pillar, termed "retain," focuses on consolidating GRS's existing parliamentary seats and maintaining voter support in constituencies where the coalition holds representation. The second element, "regain," targets seats previously held by GRS that were lost in preceding electoral cycles, identifying these as priority areas for renewed campaign efforts.

The third component, "reinforce," emphasises strengthening the party's organisational infrastructure and grassroots capacity to support both retention and recovery objectives. This element encompasses internal coordination, volunteer mobilisation, and enhanced engagement with constituents.

The three-point framework reflects GRS's ambition to improve its parliamentary representation in the upcoming national polls. The coalition, which has significant presence in Sabah, views the multi-layered approach as essential to maximising electoral performance across its target constituencies.
