Guntur Municipal Corporation launches ₹53.75 crore urban renewal initiative

The Guntur Municipal Corporation has unveiled an ambitious urban development programme worth ₹53.75 crores aimed at transforming the city's infrastructure and public services. The 'Nava Guntur' initiative will be implemented across six major sectors, with Municipal Commissioner K. Mayur Ashok stating that the projects are designed to significantly enhance residents' quality of life.

The multipronged development plan addresses critical urban challenges including traffic regulation, sanitation improvements, and creation of better public spaces. Officials indicate that the projects will focus on modernising civic amenities and making the city more liveable through targeted interventions across different functional areas.
