Guntur Official Orders Completion of Pothole Repairs Within Three Days

K. Mayur Ashok, Municipal Commissioner of Guntur, has issued urgent instructions to municipal engineers to complete all pothole repairs across the city within three days. The accelerated timeline reflects efforts to improve road conditions ahead of the monsoon season.

According to Ashok, the majority of the second-phase desilting operations have been completed successfully. However, he has flagged the need for immediate clearance of silt accumulation in culvert areas, which pose drainage challenges during heavy rainfall.

The Commissioner's directive emphasizes the importance of clearing silt deposits from culvert zones at the earliest to ensure proper water flow and prevent waterlogging in low-lying areas. Officials have been instructed to coordinate between different departments to expedite both the pothole repairs and culvert maintenance work.

The three-day deadline underscores the municipal administration's focus on infrastructure upkeep, particularly as the city prepares for seasonal weather challenges. Regular maintenance of roads and drainage systems is considered critical for public safety and urban services delivery in Guntur.
