Gurgaon hit-and-run suspect arrested in Rajasthan; relative also held

Kalyan Bainsla, the primary accused in the hit-and-run incident that struck a woman motorcyclist in Gurgaon, was arrested near Dausá in Rajasthan on Thursday. The suspect, who was reportedly attempting to flee the area, was apprehended by police during a coordinated search operation. A relative of the accused was also taken into custody in connection with the case.

The incident occurred when Bainsla allegedly struck the female bike rider with his car before fleeing the scene. Following the collision, the suspect was believed to be planning a further escape from the state. The arrest was executed swiftly after authorities narrowed down his movements across state boundaries.

Investigators strengthened the case against the accused by reviewing CCTV footage from the area and documenting the victim's account of the incident. Based on this evidence, police added charges under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections 78 and 79, which cover attempted murder and related offences. The enhanced charges reflect the severity of the allegations and the deliberate nature of the alleged act.

The case remains under active investigation as authorities work to establish the complete timeline of events and determine the motive behind the alleged attack. The victim is cooperating with the investigation, and further details are expected as the case progresses through the legal system.
