The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has escalated its crackdown on illegal industrial operations by issuing closure notices to seven unauthorized ready-mix concrete (RMC) plants scattered across the city's periphery. Officials have warned operators of imminent demolition proceedings should they fail to comply with directives to cease operations immediately.
The seven facilities identified during recent inspections are spread across four villages: Daulatabad, Gadoli Kalan, Kherki Majra and Dhanwapur. MCG authorities have classified these plants as unauthorized commercial establishments operating without requisite environmental clearances and municipal permissions.
The enforcement drive reflects growing concerns over unregulated industrial activity in Gurugram's fringe areas, where such plants typically operate with minimal oversight. Ready-mix concrete facilities are known to generate significant dust and noise pollution, often affecting nearby residential areas and agricultural land.
MCG officials have directed the plant operators to respond to the notices within a stipulated timeframe. The corporation has indicated that failure to comply will result in legal action and physical demolition of the structures, consistent with its stated policy against unauthorized commercial operations within municipal limits.
