Hacker arrested for orchestrating SSC exam cheating scheme across India

Police in Uttar Pradesh have apprehended Arun Kumar Yadav, a hacker operating under the alias 'Devil', in connection with a sophisticated cheating racket targeting SSC GD Constable online examinations. The accused was arrested in Delhi following an investigation by the state's Special Task Force.

Investigations have revealed that Yadav employed four distinct methods to facilitate cheating during online competitive examinations. The methods reportedly involved compromising exam server security and providing unauthorised access to candidates, according to law enforcement officials.

The SSC conducts recruitment examinations for thousands of central government positions across India annually. The discovery of this organised cheating network has raised concerns about the security of digital examination infrastructure used for civil service recruitment.

Authorities have indicated that the investigation is ongoing and may lead to the identification of other individuals involved in the cheating conspiracy. The case highlights vulnerabilities in online examination systems and has prompted authorities to strengthen cybersecurity protocols for future recruitment tests.
