HAL delivers Dhruv helicopters across military, civil aviation sectors

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has completed the delivery of Dhruv Next Generation (NG) helicopters across multiple operational domains, reinforcing India's capability in indigenous aircraft manufacturing. The handover includes platforms for military applications, civil aviation, and training purposes, demonstrating the versatility of the indigenously-developed rotorcraft.

Four civil-certified Dhruv NG helicopters were transferred to Pawan Hans Limited (PHL), marking the formal induction of the advanced variant into India's civil aviation segment. The move represents a key development for the state-owned helicopter operator, which provides services across critical sectors including emergency medical services, offshore operations, and passenger transport.

The Dhruv NG variant incorporates significant upgrades over the original platform, including enhanced avionics, improved engine performance, and advanced systems integration.
