Hall of Famer John Oates Sells Colorado Ranch for $6.9 Million

John Oates, the renowned guitarist and founding member of the iconic duo Hall & Oates, has successfully sold his Colorado ranch for $6.9 million. The property, known as Little Woody Creek Ranch, represents a labour of love that he and his wife Aimee developed from an empty 4.3-acre parcel of land in the scenic mountain state.

The couple invested considerable effort and resources into transforming the barren plot into a fully developed residential retreat featuring a charming five-bedroom log home. The property served as an idyllic getaway for the family across numerous holidays and seasonal visits over the years. However, as their visits to the location became increasingly infrequent, the Oates decided the time had come to sell the luxury asset.

The property was initially listed at $6 million before being repriced at $7.5 million. The final sale was completed in July 2024 at $6.9 million, suggesting a negotiated settlement between the asking price and the original asking figure. The transaction represents the conclusion of the couple's ownership of the mountain property, which had been carefully developed to provide a private mountain refuge.
