Hanoi launches construction of massive 299-hectare wildlife safari park

Hanoi has commenced construction on a major wildlife safari park spanning 299 hectares, marking a significant expansion of the city's recreational and conservation infrastructure. The facility will integrate multiple functions including animal habitats, veterinary services, and scientific research capabilities alongside public amenities.

The park's design prioritizes environmental sustainability, with green spaces and water bodies occupying approximately 81.8 percent of the total site area. This extensive natural coverage will establish ecological corridors throughout the development, creating suitable habitats for wildlife while maintaining biodiversity within the urban environment.

Plans for the facility include animal habitats modeled on natural ecosystems, allowing species to thrive in conditions mimicking their native environments. Educational exhibitions will provide visitors with information about wildlife conservation and ecological principles, while recreational areas will accommodate public access and engagement.

The project reflects Hanoi's broader strategy to balance urban development with environmental stewardship. By incorporating veterinary and research facilities alongside conservation-focused design elements, the safari park aims to serve dual purposes as both a tourist destination and a center for wildlife science and education.
