Haryana shop targeted twice in week by thieves posing as customers

A jewelry shop in Sonipat has become the target of repeated theft in the span of a week, with criminals employing an unusual ruse to steal decorative money garlands from the premises.

The shop, located on Gohana Road, was first targeted by three young men traveling in a car who made off with a money garland worth 12,000 rupees. Within seven days, a second incident occurred when two men on a scooter stole another money garland valued at approximately 3,000 rupees from the same location.

Both incidents have been recorded on the shop's CCTV cameras, providing police with footage of the suspects and their getaway vehicles. The City police station has registered cases and launched an investigation into the matter.

Officials have not disclosed further details about the modus operandi or whether the incidents are believed to be connected. The repeated targeting of the same establishment within a short timeframe has raised questions about the shop's security measures and the possibility of insider information being used by the perpetrators.
