HDB to offer 1,300+ Build-to-Order flats with sub-3-year wait times

The Housing and Development Board (HDB) will introduce more than 1,300 Build-to-Order (BTO) flats during the November sales exercise, with completion timelines significantly shorter than typical public housing projects. The initiative aims to provide prospective homeowners with faster access to new HDB units across multiple developments.

Sembawang will be a primary location for the November launch, with units offering waiting periods of just over three years from the point of sale. The shorter completion timeline reflects HDB's efforts to accelerate housing supply and reduce the traditional waiting periods that have characterised previous BTO exercises.

Additional project sites in Bayshore and Tengah will also participate in the November sales push, further expanding the availability of units with sub-three-year waiting periods. These developments are positioned to offer prospective buyers greater choice across different parts of the island while maintaining the accelerated delivery schedule.

The November BTO exercise represents part of HDB's broader strategy to enhance housing accessibility for eligible Singaporean families. The increased number of units available with shorter waiting times is expected to accommodate rising demand for public housing as the nation continues its residential development initiatives.
