HDFC AMC net profit rises 4% to ₹749 crore in Q2 FY27

HDFC AMC's consolidated net profit climbed to ₹749 crore in the second quarter of financial year 2026-27, reflecting a modest 4.2 per cent increase from the corresponding quarter last year. The asset manager's revenue expansion outpaced profit growth, jumping 14 per cent to ₹1,170 crore during the same period.

The company's assets under management stood at ₹9.7 trillion as of the close of the September quarter, underscoring the scale of operations managed by India's largest asset manager by assets. The divergence between revenue and profit growth suggests rising operational costs or higher tax provisions during the quarter.

The results come at a time when India's mutual fund industry continues to attract retail investor participation, with industry assets under management reaching new highs. HDFC AMC's performance reflects the broader momentum in the domestic asset management sector, though the relatively modest profit growth compared to revenue expansion may warrant scrutiny from market participants.
