Regional health authorities have readied 6,431 emergency beds across medical facilities as part of comprehensive cyclone preparedness measures. The stockpiling of resources reflects concerns about potential casualties and medical emergencies once the system makes landfall.
In parallel with bed preparations, health departments have positioned 630 medical teams across vulnerable districts to respond swiftly to emergencies. A fleet of 716 vehicles has been kept on standby to transport patients and supplies to hospitals and emergency medical camps.
Officials have prioritized the safety of vulnerable populations, with 1,075 pregnant women already shifted from remote areas to established healthcare facilities. This precautionary measure aims to mitigate risks associated with pregnancy-related complications during extreme weather conditions and potential disruptions to normal medical services.
State health officials say coordination between district administrations and medical institutions has been strengthened to ensure seamless operations once the cyclone arrives. Emergency protocols have been activated to handle potential surges in casualty admissions and disease outbreaks that typically follow natural disasters.
