KUALA LUMPUR — The Health Ministry has been allocated RM47.7 billion in the 2027 Budget, representing an increase from the current year's RM46.5 billion allocation, marking continued investment in the nation's healthcare infrastructure.

The enhanced budget reflects the government's commitment to expanding and modernizing public health facilities. Of the total allocation, RM1.2 billion has been earmarked specifically for upgrading public healthcare infrastructure, addressing capacity constraints and improving service delivery across government hospitals and clinics nationwide.

The funding boost comes as Malaysia continues to grapple with rising healthcare demands and the need to strengthen its public health system. The upgrade initiative is expected to focus on refurbishing existing facilities, acquiring medical equipment, and enhancing diagnostic capabilities in public hospitals.

The 2027 Budget allocation underscores the administration's prioritization of healthcare as a key development area, ensuring that public healthcare institutions can better serve the nation's expanding population and meet evolving medical needs.
