Bengaluru witnessed significant traffic disruptions on Tuesday as heavy rain battered several parts of the city, leaving commuters stranded during peak hours. Major thoroughfares experienced congestion as vehicles moved at a crawl, with waterlogged stretches forcing motorists to take alternate routes. The rainfall intensity led to bottlenecks at critical junctions, hampering the smooth flow of traffic across residential and commercial zones.

Authorities reported that the downpour, which persisted through the morning and early afternoon, overwhelmed drainage systems in low-lying areas, creating temporary pools of standing water on roads. Commuters using public transport faced cascading delays, as traffic snarls affected both private and state-run bus services. The conditions prompted traffic police to deploy additional personnel at major intersections to manage congestion and prevent accidents.

Rangers across the city implemented traffic diversion measures to facilitate movement on alternate roads, though many commuters experienced delays exceeding one to two hours on regularly busy corridors.
