Heavy rainfall disrupts Delhi-NCR as waterlogging reported across region

Delhi and its surrounding areas including Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram were lashed by heavy rainfall on Wednesday, disrupting normal traffic flow across the region. Overcast skies reduced visibility significantly, adding to commuting challenges as vehicles crawled along major thoroughfares.
The meteorological office forecast thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds reaching speeds of up to 25 kilometers per hour across parts of Noida, Ghaziabad, Delhi, and Gurugram. The adverse weather is expected to persist for approximately two hours from the time of reporting.
Waterlogging was reported in multiple localities, forcing commuters to navigate inundated streets. Authorities advised residents to exercise caution during the spell of inclement weather. The rainfall is part of a broader monsoon system affecting the region, bringing much-needed precipitation to Delhi-NCR after several weeks of dry weather.
