Heavy rains render several Angeles City roads impassable for vehicles

ANGELES CITY — Severe flooding triggered by heavy rains on Friday rendered several major roads in this Pampanga city impassable for light vehicles, according to local disaster management authorities.

The Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO) identified multiple affected routes, including Sto. Entierro, the lower sections of the Cutcut Flyover, Sto. Cristo Intersection, and portions of Pandan Road.

The flooding disrupted traffic flow across the city and forced residents and motorists to seek alternative routes to reach their destinations. Local officials did not immediately announce an estimated timeline for when the roads would reopen to normal traffic.

The incident underscored the ongoing vulnerability of Angeles City's infrastructure to flooding during heavy downpours. Residents are being advised to avoid affected areas and exercise caution when traveling through the city during inclement weather.
