LSN Philippines · 1 October 2026

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued a thunderstorm advisory Thursday afternoon, alerting residents across Metro Manila and several Luzon regions to prepare for hazardous weather conditions.

According to the advisory, heavy rain showers accompanied by lightning and strong winds are expected to develop in affected areas during the afternoon period. Pagasa cautioned the public to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during the peak of the storm.

The weather service recommended that residents secure loose objects that could be displaced by strong winds and stay clear of flood-prone areas. Motorists are urged to exercise caution while traveling, particularly in low-lying communities susceptible to flooding.

No major disruptions to transportation or public services have been reported as of the latest advisory, though authorities continue to monitor the weather situation closely. Pagasa is expected to issue updated forecasts as conditions develop throughout the day.
