The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) documented rising water levels across the sprawling urban region as afternoon downpours intensified.
According to MMDA reports issued at 1:57 p.m., Quezon City experienced gutter-deep flooding with water depths reaching approximately 8 inches in affected zones. The agency identified multiple flooded areas across the metropolitan area as thunderstorms persisted throughout the afternoon.
The MMDA advised residents and motorists in affected zones to exercise caution and avoid traversing waterlogged streets where possible. Authorities continued monitoring rainfall patterns and water accumulation in low-lying areas prone to seasonal flooding.
