Phuket faced significant weather-related disruptions as heavy rains swept across the island, bringing localized flooding and unstable ground conditions in several areas. The intense downpours generated substantial runoff that inundated streets and properties in vulnerable zones, while saturated hillsides gave way to landslides in multiple locations.
Districts across Phuket reported mudslides and rockfalls blocking roads and threatening infrastructure. Emergency services mobilized to clear debris and assist residents in affected communities. The combination of excessive water volume and geological instability created a compounding hazard for transportation networks and populated areas throughout the region.
Local authorities advised residents to exercise caution in hilly terrain and near drainage channels where water volumes remained elevated. The island's drainage systems were operating at capacity as crews worked to manage accumulated debris and restore normal conditions. Officials continued monitoring weather forecasts and ground stability as cleanup and recovery efforts progressed.
