Helicopter operator says no maintenance defects found by regulator

Layang Layang Aerospace has stated that initial findings from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) show no maintenance defects in the helicopter involved in the incident. The operator said preliminary reports released yesterday by CAAM confirmed that all maintenance schedules, records and documentation for the aircraft were properly maintained and up to date. The findings suggest that maintenance procedures were not a contributing factor to the incident. CAAM's investigation into the circumstances of the helicopter crash is continuing. The regulator is expected to conduct a comprehensive examination of multiple factors that may have been involved in the accident.
