High Court upholds decision in KLIA shooting case; man must serve full sentence

The High Court's decision to dismiss the appeal means Hafizul Hawari will not be allowed to begin his seven-year sentence before completing his current six-year jail term. The court upheld the lower court's original judgment in the matter.

Hafizul Hawari had sought to have his sentences run concurrently, which would have allowed him to serve both terms simultaneously. However, the courts have determined that the sentences will run consecutively, requiring him to complete one term before beginning the other.

The case stems from a shooting incident at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The High Court's affirmation of the lower court's decision represents the final ruling in this phase of the legal proceedings.

With the appeal now exhausted, Hafizul Hawari is required to serve the full duration of both sentences as originally handed down by the courts.
