Highly Venomous Snake Found Coiled in Toilet Seat in Uttar Pradesh

Residents of Nhatour village in Bijnor district, Uttar Pradesh, experienced a frightening encounter when a highly venomous common krait snake was found lurking beneath a toilet seat. The incident came to light when a young girl using the facility alerted her family to the presence of the dangerous reptile.

The common krait, known locally as the "silent killer" for its nocturnal hunting habits and potent venom, poses a significant threat to human safety. The snake's discovery in such close proximity to an inhabited area raised immediate concerns among residents about potential snake intrusions into homes.

Local snake rescue expert B. Bhaskar responded to the emergency call and successfully extracted the reptile from its confined position beneath the toilet seat without causing harm to either the animal or the family members. The rescue operation was completed safely, and the snake was later released into its natural habitat away from human settlement.

Authorities have advised residents in the region to exercise caution and maintain hygiene around toilet areas, particularly during monsoon months when snakes seek shelter in human dwellings. This incident underscores the importance of awareness and quick thinking in potentially life-threatening wildlife encounters.
