Himachal CM disburses ₹5.78 crore welfare aid to construction workers

The Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board facilitated the distribution of the assistance at an event in Nogli, located within the Rampur Assembly constituency. The financial support reached 1,471 registered workers and family members across the state.

The beneficiaries included widows, specially abled individuals, and families facing economic hardship. Additional support was extended to children of registered workers pursuing higher and technical education, as well as those requiring financial aid for marriage and other essential needs.

Chief Minister Sukhu emphasised the state government's commitment to ensuring transparent and efficient delivery of welfare scheme benefits to workers and vulnerable sections of society. He stated that the administration is prioritising the strengthening of social security provisions for construction workers and their families.

The disbursement underscores the government's focus on extending assistance to eligible beneficiaries through various social welfare programmes designed to support workers in the unorganised construction sector.
