Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings seeks stock market debut through IPO filing

Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings Ltd (HCCH), the bottling entity backed by The Coca-Cola Company and Jubilant Beverages, has filed its draft red herring prospectus with the Securities and Exchange Board of India to launch an initial public offering.

According to the DRHP filed on November 6, the proposed IPO will comprise an offer for sale of up to 99,74,61,456 equity shares by the promoter Hindustan Coca-Cola Overseas Holdings Pte Ltd. The share sale will enable the existing promoter to partially exit its holding in the company.

Since the entire issue is structured as an offer for sale rather than a fresh share issuance, HCCH will not receive any capital proceeds from the transaction. All funds raised will flow directly to the selling shareholder, with the company continuing to operate under existing capital structures.

The IPO filing represents a key milestone for the bottling company, which operates a significant distribution network across India for Coca-Cola products. The move comes as several beverage and FMCG companies explore capital markets to unlock value and improve liquidity for existing investors.
