Hindustan Zinc Limited posted robust financial performance in the second quarter, with net profit rising 17 percent to Rs 6,412 crore, signalling improved operational efficiency and market conditions for the country's largest integrated zinc producer.
Total revenue for the quarter climbed to Rs 15,093 crore, representing a 9.8 percent increase compared to Rs 13,747 crore in the preceding quarter. The figure also exceeded analyst estimates of Rs 14,035 crore, demonstrating stronger-than-expected demand and pricing dynamics.
The expansion in profitability was accompanied by margin improvement, reflecting better cost management and favourable commodity prices during the period. The company's performance underscores the resilience of India's zinc sector amid global economic uncertainties.
The results position Hindustan Zinc favourably amid ongoing industrial demand for metals and minerals across sectors including construction, automobiles, and electrical applications in India's growing economy.
