Bridgeville, a small unincorporated town in Humboldt County, Northern California, is preparing for its return to the property market following over two decades of changing hands. The settlement achieved international recognition in 2002 when it became the first town to be auctioned on eBay, generating significant public interest and 250 competitive bids.
The initial online auction culminated in a highest bid of $1.77 million, though the winning bidder ultimately withdrew from the transaction. Since that landmark sale, the property has passed through several owners, each bringing different visions for development that ultimately failed to materialise.
The current proprietors have decided to list the 80-acre community for sale once more in September, seeking buyers with genuine capability and commitment to foster meaningful growth and stability within Bridgeville.
