Historic Maryland factory transforms into oyster research and business hub

The Packing House, originally constructed in 1920 and later operated by the Phillips Packing Company, has undergone a comprehensive transformation from a vacant industrial site into a thriving commercial and cultural destination. The redeveloped facility now houses office spaces, retail outlets, and event venues that serve the local community and regional business interests.
Complementing the broader revitalization, Maryland State authorities have invested $1 million in establishing a specialized oyster centre within the complex.
