Home Ministry targets foreign worker fraud rings in major crackdown

PUTRAJAYA — The Home Ministry has vowed to eliminate foreign worker fraud syndicates through comprehensive enforcement operations targeting the root causes of illegal labour trafficking and exploitation.

Official statements indicate the ministry is prioritising disruption of criminal networks that profit from manipulation of migrant workers through fraudulent employment schemes, document forgery, and debt bondage arrangements. The initiative reflects growing concerns over irregular migration patterns and labour rights violations affecting thousands of foreign nationals working in Malaysia.

The crackdown encompasses coordination between multiple government agencies and law enforcement bodies to identify and prosecute syndicate operators at various levels of the supply chain.
