Honda two-wheeler sales jump 13% in October on robust domestic demand

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India's total wholesale sales climbed 13 per cent year-on-year to 7.34 lakh units in October, the company announced on Sunday. The Japanese automaker had recorded 6.50 lakh units in the corresponding month last year.

Domestic sales grew at an 11 per cent pace to 6.64 lakh units, up from 5.98 lakh units in October 2024. Export shipments surged more sharply, climbing 35 per cent to 69,735 units compared to 51,644 units previously, indicating strengthening demand in overseas markets.

The performance caps a robust first seven months of the financial year. From April through October, Honda's combined sales increased 15 per cent to 41.74 lakh units against 36.44 lakh units in the same period last year. Domestic volumes expanded 13 per cent to 37.08 lakh units, while international shipments rose 28 per cent to 4.65 lakh units.

The consistent growth trajectory reflects sustained consumer interest in the two-wheeler segment across both urban and rural markets in India, alongside expanding export opportunities in neighbouring regions.
