Hope Foundation Completes Nearly 30 Bridges Across Mekong Delta

The Hope Foundation has delivered nearly 30 newly constructed bridges across Can Tho, Dong Thap, An Giang, Tay Ninh and Vinh Long provinces as of the end of September 2026, expanding access to previously isolated areas in the Mekong Delta.

The bridge-building initiative represents a significant infrastructure effort in one of Vietnam's most important agricultural regions. Each completed structure enhances transportation networks linking rural communities to regional markets and essential services.

The five target provinces represent a diverse cross-section of the Mekong Delta, spanning areas with varying geographic and developmental challenges. Can Tho and Vinh Long benefit from their proximity to the region's commercial hub, while Dong Thap, An Giang and Tay Ninh address connectivity gaps in more remote locations.

The nine-month construction pace suggests the foundation is on track to significantly expand its bridge portfolio through the end of 2026. The project underscores ongoing efforts by non-governmental organizations to address infrastructure gaps in Vietnam's rural regions, particularly in areas where waterways and difficult terrain have historically limited access.
