Horiba eyes 20 billion yen revenue from India ops by 2028

Horiba Ltd, a leading maker of precision instruments and testing systems, has identified India as a cornerstone of its global growth strategy. The Japanese manufacturer announced Monday that it aims to achieve 20 billion yen in revenue from its Indian operations by 2028, reflecting the country's rising importance to its worldwide business roadmap.

The company has demonstrated consistent momentum since establishing operations in India 20 years ago. Horiba reported annual turnover of approximately 15 billion yen in the fiscal year ending 2025, underpinned by an average annual growth rate exceeding 15 percent.

India's transformation from a market for Horiba's technology to a manufacturing and development hub has been pivotal to the company's strategy. The country now serves as a base for production, product adaptation, and increasingly, research and development activities.

Dan Horiba, Executive Director at Horiba Ltd, underscored the company's commitment to the Indian market. "India is probably the most exciting and growing energetic market for us," he said in a statement, adding that the nation would play an even larger role in Horiba's global expansion in the coming years.
