MANILA — The House of Representatives on Wednesday approved on final reading a bill granting Philippine Airlines a 50-year extension of its franchise to operate as the nation's flag carrier.
House Bill No. 10545 secured passage with 250 lawmakers voting in favor, three voting against, and one abstaining. The decisive margin reflects broad legislative support for extending PAL's mandate to continue domestic and international flight operations under its current corporate framework.
