MANILA – Lawmakers will gather at the House of Representatives on Monday to honor Dakilo Carlo "Dax" Cua, who served as governor of Quirino province. The necrological service will run from 9 a.m. to noon, providing members of Congress and other dignitaries an opportunity to pay their respects to the deceased provincial leader.
Cua's career in public service spanned multiple levels of government. Before assuming the top executive position in the landlocked northern province, he represented his constituents in the House as a lawmaker, bringing legislative experience to his role as provincial governor.
The necrological rites reflect the tradition of the House of Representatives honoring distinguished public servants who have passed away. Such services allow fellow legislators and government officials to acknowledge the contributions of deceased leaders to their respective communities and the nation.
